Outside work
My free time is made of endurance sports, algorithmic puzzles and complex systems — interests not far from what I do for work.
Endurance and discipline
I run and cycle consistently, logging every session and comparing it with my history. I'm an early riser: the first hours of the morning are my favourite time of day.
My ideal outing: a 15 km run to the sea, a swim, then cycling back on the bike I left there the day before — a little homemade triathlon.
On weekends you might also find me on a football pitch with a whistle: I'm a referee.
Mind and focus
I solve Rubik's cubes of every size, from the classic 3×3 up to the 7×7 and the Megaminx (the dodecahedron): each cube is a small algorithmic puzzle to take apart and put back together. And when I'm not turning cubes, I play chess.
Understanding systems
I closely follow geopolitics and investing: what interests me is understanding how complex systems work — financial markets, international dynamics — more than having an opinion on everything.
