About me
I'm Damiano Taverni, a freelance professional based in Pisa, Italy. I build custom business software and web applications for SMBs and professionals, and I run the infrastructure they live on myself: hosting, security, servers and maintenance.
My path starts from systems administration: training in cybersecurity (IFTS, EQF level IV) and experience as a systems administrator — servers, virtualization, automation, security. From there I moved into development: web apps in React and TypeScript, backends on Cloudflare, Python scripts. Knowing both sides lets me design software with a clear idea, from day one, of where it will run, what it will cost to maintain and how to secure it.
I'm an analytical, systems-oriented profile: before proposing a solution I want to understand the process. I don't sell pre-packaged bundles — if something is not needed, I'll tell you.

Outside work
